Jama Masjid
This is the largest and glorious mosque of India renowned across the globe for its architecture which enthrals tourists during their visit to this place. This was the last architectural monument built by the Mughal Emperor, Shahjahan in the year 1656 AD by 5,000 craftsmen and artisans. It is a beautiful monument made up of red sandstone and white marble. This mosque is famous for three gateways, four towers and two minarets which are superbly adorned with white marble and red sandstone. The mosque is also known for its remnants of the Muslim Religion like a red beard-hair of the prophet, Holy Quran written on deer skin and footprint and sandal of the Prophet Mohammed.


Red Fort
This is one of the most magnificent monuments of Delhi where large number of tourists come to see the Mughal architectural legacy crafted in red sandstone. Earlier known as Qila-e-Mualla, the Red Fort was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638 A.D. This fort is known as Red Fort or Lal Quila because of the extensive use of red sandstone in its construction. Some of the popular attractions of this fort are Diwan-e-am, Diwan-e-Khas, Rang Maha, Chatta Chowk and Shahi Burj. Along with this the Red Fort is also known for its sound and light show which offers an opportunity to tourists to get acquainted with the age old history of the Fort.
